Bulletin: Rescheduled CCCA General Meeting – Now May 23 at 6:30 pm

The general membership meeting scheduled for May 2, 2023, regarding the Civic Core has been canceled. It is rescheduled for May 23. The event will take place in-person at the CC Community Center at 6:30 pm. It will also be presented virtually by Zoom. We will be using new technology so that this will be a meaningful experience for all audience members.

The meeting will not be a webinar but you will still need to register in advance (go to the link below). If you have already registered in advance for the May 2 meeting, please note that the change from Zoom Webinar to Zoom Meeting means that you will need to reregister at the link below (apologies for the extra step).

The meeting has two main purposes:

• Education, information, discussion, and feedback about the D.C. government’s plans regarding the “Civic Core” redevelopment plan. We will introduce experts in D.C. zoning and land-use practices to update us, take questions, share their experiences, listen to your thoughts, and identify possible next steps.
• Voting on new CCCA officers. We will introduce candidates for the six officer positions. Please forward nominations for the positions – president, first vice president, second vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary, and treasurer – to our nomination committee member christophermdietz@gmail.com. Please include your contact information and a paragraph about yourself.

All members in good standing may participate in this informational meeting about the future of the “Civic Heart” and vote on the new officers.
