The Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 3/4G standing committee on Racial and Social Equity (RASE) invites you to a virtual chat with Joy Bates Boyle, sponsor of Undesign the Redline, an exhibit and series of programs currently underway at the Cleveland Park Public Library. Undesign the Redline is not about Metro!  It addresses the history of explicit race-based exclusion, specifically in Northwest DC.  That history can help us understand why inequities in housing and wealth persist and encourage us to ask how we can “Undesign” these wrongs.  (Suitable for middle-school aged children and older.)

 

Ms. Boyle will discuss the Undesign the Redline exhibit and describe the programs offered before it closes on July 11.
